The Buzz ON our bees
Thanks to our partnership with Bee Downtown, a North Carolina-based company using businesses in Raleigh, Durham and Atlanta to help save honey bee populations, we use beeswax from our very own rooftop honey bee hives in our candles and balms. Our partnership allows us to rebuild healthy honey bee populations in urban areas and offer our customers natural, safe products. Plus, beekeeper suits are awesome!
Why We Use Beeswax
We use beeswax in our products because it offers a handful of healthy benefits. At Murphy’s Naturals, we leave out all the ingredients we don’t want, so you won’t find DEET or petroleum in our natural products. When heated in our candles, beeswax releases negative ions that help purify the air by neutralizing surrounding toxins. Beeswax also has natural healing agencies — aromatherapy, anti-inflammatory properties, and a natural moisturizer.
People often ask us why we're committed to using natural ingredients in our mosquito repellent products. Simply stated, these ingredients are better. Better for you and the environment!
